This infection is spreading. the Hearing Aid Forum has also had a face lift.
Not sure about the change being for the better yet, text in the two right hand columns need to be bolder, as it is difficult to see.
Also there is no Past function in this field.
It does look a bit faint compared with the text elsewhere. I would just point out that we have deaf-blind members and I think they will probably have trouble seeing this.Apart from that it works fine! Congratulations and thank you!
Hi JohnD and Cornishandy,
The text has now been darkened a few shades.
Please let us know your thoughts.
Only a little better, cannot you use blue text please, as it would stand out better?
Im finding the search bar ends up 'floating' in the middle of my screen on my Ipad, it blocks out the text on some posts
I would t with he log in being madness! I am dyslexic and I will not be using any such forum that causes me so much of a problem and as for being totally taken off of where you were is even madder! I take it those creating the forum do not have the issues many users have or ever actually[y use it. I uses a strong but a[easy to use password and this madness insted I reset it for one actually less strong and clearly to me forgettable than before. All the advice now is against this old idea of passwords no one can remember but for usable ones.
To add insult to it all the text box I am using uses much smaller text than the web page, nearly impossible to read. What a useless update over all but undoubtedly added to some ones tick boxes.
The loging in thing is extremley annoying, having to do it every time. Which as John said has not stopped the spam. Also whilst viewing the forum, when it asks me to login, it takes me away from the forum and sends me to the home page. I then have to search for the forum again.!!!
Trying to find the forum on your home page is very difficult, I have not found a direct link to take me there, I have had to resort to using the search box. Very discouraging.
All the stickies giving people information have disappeared.
The floating search box blocks out a great portion of posts, why can it not be fixed at the top of the screen.
In the reply box, the size of the text is reduced, it can be a big problem for those who also have sight problems.
I hope you take these comments as constructive criticism.
I have several complaints about his forum.
Why is there a message telling me to login every time, when I am logged in?
Why do we only have half a page to open and view posts? The top of the page has a lot of wasted space.
How can I see the last post, without having to scroll down to it?
You have still not stopped the spam, so this has been a wast of time, and ruined what was once a very good web site. Whoever built it, should consider doing a makeover.
I hope you take these comments seriously, as I feel many people will leave.
The webteam e-mail address does not work.
Another point your web team may take a look at.
when there is a post with a long thread, like 'your disability is ending' you are now required to scroll through the whole tread to get to the newest post. There used to be page numbers at the botton on the page so you could jump driectly to the new post. It is quite time consuming.
