I have just recently had the oticon spirit synergy fitted and was wandering does it have the hearing loop setting/T position and how that works? Or does it work automatically?
Tiptop is right you need to ask the audiologist to turn the loop setting on. If it has been turned on then you activate it by pushing in the middle of the function/volume switch on your aid. If you have 2 aids like me then you only need to push the switch on one aid to change the setting on both.
When you activate the function you'll hear anything from 2 to 5 beeps depending on how many programmes you have on your aids.
When you've finished using the loop setting then push the function switch again and your aids return to the default setting.
You need the audiologist to switch it on for you when they programme the hearing aids. Not all of them switch it on for you if they think you don’t need it.
it will depend on what setting they have given you, they can I believe activate upto five different ones for different circumstances/situations. Best to give them a ring to check what they’ve acrivated for you, and how to access them
